This book is usually given to eighth-grade middle school English students to read. Jim Allen, director of instruction for the school system, cited a parent's concern over the sexual nature of a certain passage in the definitive edition, and said school officials immediately chose to pull this version and use an alternative copy.
I think the comment someone left on the article sums my feelings up perfectly:
We wouldn't want 8th graders to know anything about sex, would we? As if they haven't already been on the Internet.
